• Those who have extensive experience working in lean marketing teams and scrappy startups, have strong attention to detail and sense of pride in your work, and have a bias towards action will be successful in this role. ### Core Responsibilities **SEO, AI Search, and Website Management:** - Manage backend workflow and processes related to the Mucker website on Wordpress and associated plugins, connectors to other tools such as Zapier, Airtable, MailChimp, etc. - Publish content such as blog posts, news articles, landing pages, etc. - Continually monitor and optimize for SEO &amp
• AI search by implementing best practices such as technical on-site optimizations, cross-linking, 3rd party linkbuilding, optimizing for AI citations, etc. - Increase monthly website traffic, email subscriber-base and startup founder form submissions **Content Marketing &amp
• Social Media:** - Manage our webinar program end-to-end, from scheduling and speaker prep, to promoting the webinar via email and social media, to running the live webinar session - Execute post-production edits of video content, such as webinars and event presentations, in order to utilize content for Mucker’s website and social media posts - Create and publish content on Mucker’s social media profiles - Engage with the startup community on social media to generate greater visibility for Mucker, including LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit **Email Marketing:** - Create &amp
• send monthly newsletters using MailChimp with the goal of increasing engagement and readership - Create &amp
• send dedicated emails to communicate upcoming webinars, events, and any other special announcements - Maintain and manage subscriber segments within MailChimp - Ensure email deliverability and domain reputation **General Marketing Administration:** - Assist in keeping track of KPIs, budget and spending related to Mucker’s marketing activities, etc. - Assist in other marketing programs and initiatives as needed ### Requirements * Must have at least 4 years of early-stage startup experience in a marketing or growth role * Prior experience in driving growth with SEO and content marketing across various channels (social media, email, etc.) as well as medium (blog, video, social posts, etc.) - show me your past results! * Email marketing experience, particularly with growing newsletter subscriptions and segmentation * Strong familiarity with Wordpress, HTML, CSS, Airtable, Notion, Canva, and Zapier is highly desirable * Strong data analysis skills to make decisions based on data and not just gut * Be up-to-date on the uses of AI tools for growth use-cases * Creative and scrappy problem solver, and knows how to properly run growth experiments * Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written is required This is a remote contractor role
